Privacy policy

This policy provides the information required by Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). For visitors from the Gulf, the personal data protection laws (PDPL) of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have also been taken into account.

2. What data we process and how

The platform is free and requires no registration; we do not ask for your name or other identity details. The following data is processed automatically while you use the site, or because you choose to provide it:

• Technical data: IP address, date and time of access, browser and operating system, referring address. This data is generated in the server logs of the providers that host and protect the site.
• Usage statistics: aggregate counts of which pages and tools are used. We measure this without cookies and without storing IP addresses; the data does not identify you.
• Preferences stored in your browser: your selected country, your own price list, theme and currency preference. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Details are on the Cookie policy page.
• Contact form: if you use the form, your name, company name, business email address, mobile number and message.
• Advertising cookies: only if you consent, through the cookies of our advertising partners.

3. Price data and the sources your browser connects to

To display live prices, your browser connects directly to the following data providers when you open a page. In doing so, your IP address and browser information are technically transmitted to these providers:

• Binance (live exchange rates and gold prices)
• currency-api / jsDelivr (daily exchange rates)
• Frankfurter (European Central Bank reference rates)

We do not send these providers any other information that identifies you.

4. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the site, keeping it secure and preventing attacks: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
• Improving the site through cookie-free usage statistics: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
• Answering enquiries sent through the contact form: taking steps at your request and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR; KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and (f)).
• Using advertising cookies to show personalised or non-personalised ads: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; KVKK Art. 5(1)). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
• Counting referrals to partner links: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).

5. Recipients and international transfers

• Hosting, content delivery and security providers (e.g. Cloudflare): to deliver and protect the site.
• Advertising networks (e.g. Google AdSense): only with your consent. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
• Partners: when you click the link of a partner that sells physical gold, an anonymous parameter showing that the referral came from this site is passed on. Transactions on the partner's site are governed by that site's privacy policy.
• Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): to prevent abuse of the contact form.

Some of these providers have servers outside your country. Transfers take place in accordance with the conditions and safeguards of Chapter V GDPR and Article 9 KVKK. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Retention periods

• Server and security logs: no longer than 90 days.
• Contact form correspondence: no longer than 2 years after the enquiry has been dealt with.
• Preferences stored in your browser: on your own device until you delete them.
• Advertising cookies: for the period set by the advertising partner; you can remove them by withdrawing your consent.

Data whose retention period has expired is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country.

Under Article 11 KVKK you may in particular learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose of processing, know the third parties to whom it is transferred, request its correction, deletion or destruction and the notification of these steps to third parties, object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. In Turkey the supervisory authority is the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK).

8. How to exercise your rights

9. Children

The platform is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly process their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always on this page; the date of the last update is shown at the top.
